BMW models from 2014 and earlier: the current S6 cannot read OEM (factory) data directly on these bikes — it works via a wired connection only.

Will the S6 fit my motorcycle?
Yes — the Universal quick-release bracket covers standard handlebar, triple-clamp, and crossbar mounts, and power input accepts 9–32V DC. BMW riders can choose the BMW Dedicated module, which mounts on the factory navigation prep.
Does it work with older BMW models?

How does recording and storage work?
Both Sony cameras record 1080P at 30 fps with loop recording in 1 / 3 / 5-minute segments; old clips are overwritten automatically. 32GB eMMC is built in and a TF card expands storage up to 256GB. Collision-locked emergency clips are never overwritten.
Is the S6 really waterproof?
The unit is rated IP69K — sealed against rain, dust, and high-pressure washing — and operates from -20°C to 70°C.
Can I update the firmware and manage footage from my phone?
Yes. OTA updates install over Wi-Fi, and the companion app supports live preview, playback, and downloading clips to your phone.
